The Union Bank Wine Bar and Wine Store occupies a group of heritage-listed buildings, clustered around a picturesque courtyard in the heart of the beautiful Central West city of Orange.
Initially opened in 2006 as the sales and cellar door outlet for Belgravia Wines, in 2008 Belgravia at Union Bank evolved into the Union Bank Wine Bar and Wine Store.
The Union Bank Wine Bar – or the ‘UB’ as it is affectionately known by locals – offers great food at affordable prices. Our tapas-style share plates are always popular and offer the perfect accompaniment to our interesting, ever-changing and balanced wine list.
During summer, the sunny courtyard provides the perfect location to spend a relaxed afternoon enjoying a glass of local chardonnay. In winter, the wood fire in the Wine Bar keeps patrons warm and cosy while they sip on a syrah or ponder a pinot.
We can accommodate group bookings in our two function spaces – the Long Room (a former classroom) or the Garden Marquee (a whimsical indoor-outdoor space) – providing an exciting range of function packages that showcase our eclectic menu.
The Union Bank Wine Store, housed in the former stables (built 1870-1883) is a unique retail space. Showcasing the outstanding range of James Halliday 5 Star rated Belgravia Wines, it also features wines from the many local Orange wineries, as well as a carefully selected range of boutique brands from around Australia and the rest of the world.
Managed by Tom Hattersley, the Wine Store is a great representation of the cool-climate Orange wine region and the constantly evolving world of wine. Visit the Wine Store for well-informed wine tastings or enquire about hosting an event at our special Wine Store ‘Table for Ten’.

While it was Richard Hattersley who first laid the foundations back in 2006, The Union Bank Wine Bar has always been a family business and in 2012 Richard handed the reigns over to his eldest son Will. Having studied both accounting and wine business and inheriting the Hattersley family passion for the Orange wine industry, Will has the entrepreneurial instinct and the hospitality experience to ensure that the Union Bank Wine Bar continues to be the food and wine hub of Orange.
